Owners, consultants and quantity surveyors read progress by BOQ line. Here is how the Construction Management module reports progress that way, and how each line links back to the evidence behind it.

Why the BOQ line matters
The bill of quantities (BOQ) lists every item of work with its quantity and rate. On an infrastructure contract, it is the shared language between the contractor, the consultant and the owner. "Rebar, piers" is a BOQ line, and a progress report that says how much of it is done answers the question most readers have.
A progress report built only from the schedule says which activities finished. A report by BOQ line says how much of the contracted work is done.
How the Construction Management module tracks it
•
The BOQ comes into Construction Management from SAP, as a multi-level bill of quantities.
•
Approved progress logged on site counts against the activities and their BOQ lines.
•
Financial and physical progress show side by side, for each package.
A statement with its evidence
The Construction Management module produces a progress statement by BOQ line. Each line links to its evidence and approval, such as the clip an engineer reviewed. A reviewer can open the evidence behind any number in the statement.
The team also gets a daily summary on WhatsApp, and the daily progress report builds from the day's logs and inspections.
An example
A BOQ line for rebar in piers might show 3 of 8 piers approved, one waiting for review and four not started. Each approved pier links to the clip and the engineer who approved it. The names and numbers here are illustrative.
